These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website gam-gui.com and the GAM & Google Workspace Companion macOS software (“App”) provided by Hal Carrell (“we”, “us”).
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of service
The App is a third-party macOS desktop client published by Hal Carrell. It helps Google Workspace administrators build and run GAM (Google Apps Manager) commands and bundled workflows from a graphical interface. The App is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google LLC.
GAM is separate software. GAM is open-source command-line software maintained by the GAM community (github.com/GAM-team/GAM). This App does not bundle, install, or license GAM for you. You must download GAM, accept its license terms, and authorize it for your domain on each computer where you use the App. The App invokes GAM locally; it is not a replacement for GAM.
You are responsible for compliance with Google’s terms, GAM’s terms, your organization’s policies, and applicable law when running admin commands. Google, Google Workspace, and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC.
3. License grant
Subject to payment (if applicable) and these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on computers you control. Source code is available under separate repository licenses; the distributed binary is commercial software unless otherwise stated at purchase.
4. Restrictions
- Do not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the App except as permitted by law
- Do not use the App to violate Google’s policies or any law
- Do not share license keys in violation of your tier (machine binding may apply)
5. Purchases & refunds
Paid licenses may be sold through third-party stores (e.g. Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad) or Google Workspace Marketplace. Refund policies follow the store where you purchased. For direct support, contact stormer72@icloud.com within 30 days of purchase if you believe you are entitled to a refund under our published guarantee.
6. Google Workspace Marketplace
If you install via Google Workspace Marketplace, additional Google terms may apply. OAuth and billing through Google are subject to Google’s policies. Tier mapping and subscription status may be determined by Google’s licensing APIs where configured.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. ADMIN TOOLS CAN CAUSE DATA LOSS OR SERVICE DISRUPTION IF MISUSED. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING GAM COMMANDS AND WORKFLOW OUTPUT (INCLUDING DRY-RUN PREVIEWS) BEFORE EXECUTION.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP OR GAM. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the App, your GAM configuration, or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
